FOLLOWING UP ON THE COMPLETE REDESIGNED FROM 2024 FEATURING AN INCREASED LUFF CURVE AND REDUCED HEAD GEOMETRY FOR IMPROVED FLIGHT CONTROL AND WIND RANGE The WARP_FOIL extends our PWA and IFCA fin slalom champion sail range. It’s a specific and highly advanced foil design suited for foil racers looking for something that complements the low-drag of the hydrofoil. Compared to traditional fin sailing you have approximately 70% lower drag on the foil. Therefore it requires a totally different sail design (profile, twist pattern, aspect ratio) to match the low-drag hydrofoils.The design of the 20.24 represented a milestone, as we were able to massively improve the wind range (= improved average speed) and the flight control in the upper range (= improved V-Max). To achieve this we significantly increased the luff curve and reduced the head size. A shortened boom length and the incorporation of a massive double-foil sleeve size were further key design elements.The WARP_FOIL 2024 concept has proven to be super competitive, so we decided to build on its success with an evolved version. Last year we have updated the batten configuration to a stiffer setup with a slightly flatter entry which enhanced the control in stronger winds and improved top speed across all sizes.For 2026 we introduce a new mast-sleeve construction in all sizes: > Less movement in the sail especially in the high-end >> more stability> Less drag> Better accelerationIn our eyes, the WARP_FOIL 20.26 redefines the benchmark of the control to performance to wind-range ratio. It’s purely designed to win low-drag hydrofoil races!Attention: for maximum performance the WARP_FOIL is equipped with 4 carbon tube battens. These battens are stiffer but unfortunately also more fragile than glass tube battens. Therefore, they are excluded from our warranty!

SUPER_HERO D/LAB - creating the sail of your dreams! Imagine a world where restrictions in sail design and construction would cease to exist. how would the sail of your dreams look like? The SUPER_HERO D/LAB is the biggest evolution on a wave sail in our history deservedly carrying the D/LAB label. Because for us, D/LAB represents the maximum technically achievable, giving a glimpse into the future.3 things set the SUPER_HERO D/LAB apart from any other sail out there:1.       Unseen wind rangeUnbelievable but true the wind range is extended in both directions means it gets planning earlier while offering more high-end control. To give you a better idea on the Original SUPER_HERO a typical quiver is 5.3 – 4.7 – 4.2. With the SUPER_HERO D/LAB though you can go 5.0 – 4.2 and cover the same range!2.       Ultra-light ON THE WATERThe physical weight is just one side of the medal. As usual though the real truth happens on the water. The sailing weight describes how light the sail feels in your hands while sailing. It is a combination of the physical weight but more importantly the sail’s dynamic. Therefore we are only interested in the so called sailing weight. A responsive/dynamic sail feels lighter in your hands. On the other hand a spongy sail feels heavier in your hands “eating up” much of the physical weight advantage. Technora/Dyneema and Kevlar have a high tear strength, but are not very stiff (only similar stiffness than the Polyester monofilm). Therefore, if being reduced in thickness to save weight (membrane and laminated or composite sails), these sails tend to become quite spongy and dull to ride. This sponginess results in a less efficient sail with a reduced wind range (especially when overpowered). Carbon, on the other hand, is approx. 3-4 times stiffer than Technora/Dyneema and Kevlar. Using our INTELLIGENT CARBON XPLY CONSTRUCTION we have found the ideal balance. The CARBON XPLY in the high load clew, top and tack areas guarantee unsurpassed low stretch and power transmission. However, the slightly more (re)flexing regular XPly in the body avoids the power from becoming uncontrollable. This makes the SUPER_HERO D/LAB extremely responsive and dynamic. In combination with the very low physical weight this results in the lowest possible sailing weight. There is no sail that feels lighter in your hands than the SUPER_HERO D/LAB!3.       Ultra-light without any sacrifice on durabilityThe easy and usual way to bring down the weight is by reducing the film/laminate thickness. Unfortunately reducing the film thickness has an over-proportional effect on the wear resistance and longevity in general. This is the reasons why reducing the weight the easy way by just reducing the skin thickness has never been an option for us - because all our products are designed and engineered according to our motto “LIGHT DONE RIGHT”.For the SUPER_HERO D/LAB we use the same film/laminate thickness as with our bomb-proof Original SUPER_HERO. The fusion bonding joining the panels are much stronger than traditional sewing (actually the fusion bonding is even stronger than the materials itself). Hard to believe but experience has shown that the SUPER_HERO D/LAB is even stronger than the Original SUPER_HERO. We back this up with our industry-leading 5 YEAR WARRANTY, something no other brand is able to offer.Using the SUPER_HERO D/LAB for the first time it feels as if your body becomes united with the sail and you are truly connected with the waves. The lightning quick reflex reactions without any sacrifice in control is a real game changer, so much so, all of our Pro Team will be using the SUPER_HERO D/LAB. Please note: after intensive uv radiation, the fusion bonding may take on a yellowish tint. Extensive lab and water tests confirm that this is purely aesthetic and has no influence on the mechanical properties/strength. That's why this is excluded from the warranty.

IMAGINE MELTING THE JUMP N’ RIDE FREEMOVE QUALITIES OF THE DUKE WITH THE WAVE CAPABILITIES OF THE SUPER HERO D/LAB. MISSION IMPOSSIBLE YOU MIGHT SAY - BUT FOR US, THIS WAS THE FUNDAMENTAL MOTIVATION BEHIND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BRAND-NEW DUKE SLS! The comeback of the DUKE as a 5-batten Jump N’ Ride sail 2 years ago was a major success. It instantly became the most used and popular sail in the ION CLUB and DUOTONE PRO CENTERS worldwide.Now with the DUKE SLS we take this concept to the extreme! But instead of just swapping the materials, we have developed this sail from scratch to utilize the full potential of the materials and to give this sail an additional character. Because depending on the board, the DUKE SLS behaves like a chameleon:On lower drag single-fin boards (e.g. Freewave or small Freeride boards) the DUKE SLS has a slight forward pull (similar to the Original DUKE). On higher drag multi-fin wave boards, however, the pull is evenly distributed over both hands. On such boards, the new DUKE SLS has a very similar feel to the SUPER_HERO D/LAB making it really suitable even for proper wave sailing conditions.But how was this made possible?Well, it is a combination of an extremely sophisticated sail concept (3d-shaping, twist pattern and profile distribution) and the use of CARBON XPLY batten pockets. The DUKE SLS features a slightly forward draft position, but with a defined flexibility. We call this DEFINED DRAFT MOTION CONCEPT. Normally, this is a no-go for sails with “soft” epoxy battens, as any draft movement reduces the wind range. But this is where the CARBON XPLY batten pockets come into play: as Carbon has virtually no stretch, it locks the battens thus draft in its defined position - actually pretty similar to a Carbon batten.Believe it or not, in this way we virtually merged the advantages of the Original DUKE with those of the SUPER HERO D/LAB creating the ultimate 5-batten Wave><Freewave sail.Ok, so the DUKE SLS feels similar to the SUPER_HERO D/LAB - but what about the low end power? 5-batten wave sails offer great control, but usually suffer in the low-end as more battens make it harder for the wind to inflate the sail. That’s why we have incorporated the BATTEN FREE CENTER concept that we already use on the SUPER_HERO and the Original DUKE. Instead of the usual even batten distribution, the DUKE SLS features a bigger gap between the foot batten and the batten above the boom. This makes the boom area easier to inflate, resulting in a similar low-end power to a 4-batten sail. But it’s getting even better: due to the additional use of CARBON XPLY in the high load top and tack areas plus a STRIPPED TO THE MAX panel layout we were able to bring down the weight by a whopping 400-500g compared to the Original DUKE.So what keeps you waiting - DUKE SLS the first sail morphing the advantages of a Freewave sail with a truly capable down the line wave sail.
