The Essentials base plate serves as the foundation of our base plate range. Simple and reliable, the base plate keeps the number of parts to a minimum, reducing the chances of any part failing even in extreme conditions. At its center, a high-quality TPU tendon is anchored by two custom large-diameter bolts, designed for easy tendon replacement without bolt rollover. The U-Pin section on top is a single solid piece of stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting durability. Made from durable POK technical plastic, the base plate is ergonomic and easy to unscrew, even after intense sessions. The disc, also made of POK material, features an EVA layer and a steering knob for excellent grip on the board. For added security, both the top and bottom of the base plate are connected with a Spectra safety cord, capable of withstanding up to 650 kg of breaking load. We believe most windsurfers would agree: a strong, secure base plate is a good base plate. Everything else is secondary.
