Description
Sponge-Rez is a tough, clear and flexible resin formulated to repair the most common disasters that bodyboards are heir to; leash plug wear, dinged rails, delaminated decks, hulls or rails, sponge deck (also known as deck rash), and semi-fatal gouges. Sponge-Rez works on all types of bodyboard materials including Ethafoam, Surlyn, EVA, Vinyl and Arcel, however it will dissolve polystyrene (EPS) cores. Sponge-Rez also repairs cracked and worn swim fins. When applied to fin blades it increases their stiffness and thrust.
General instructions:
The surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt and/or wax.
Use in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors. Do NOT deliberately inhale the fumes - don't be foolish.
Apply generously to porous surfaces. Use the spatula to force Sponge-Rez into the damaged part of the board. Do not apply Sponge-Rez with your fingers.
Sponge-Rez will "skin over" in about 10-15 minutes and be dry in about 2 hours, but a full cure takes 24 hours, especially when filling deep spaces. This is not a UV-cure product.
