The Maverick shares the same proven shape as the Vega, but is intentionally stripped back to keep weight and cost low. Large monofilm panels offer responsive handling but are less durable than bi-ply or X-ply constructions, and to maintain its accessible price, the sail has no mast foot protection and no tack pulleys.
