The Experience TR helps smooth that transition with a design that supports steady progression.
This fully-battened Dacron sail features a deep, well-defined profile in the lower section, delivering stable drive and clear feedback when the wind is light. As conditions build, it can be easily tuned with downhaul and outhaul adjustments to regulate leech tension and extend the usable wind range—ideal for adapting to changing weather and varying skill levels.
Experience TR rigs are trimmed and rigged just like modern no-cam sails, so beginners become familiar early on with the same rigging techniques they’ll use as they advance.
High-quality Dacron and a robust PVC window make the sail exceptionally durable and resilient, with reinforcements at all key wear points to withstand heavy use in school environments. Each size is colour-coded, making it easy to identify on the water and organise groups of learners.
Smaller sizes from 1.0 to 2.5 square metres come with a durable epoxy mast, with an aluminium option available for a lighter weight. The supplied boom includes harness line markers for faster, more consistent setup, and a rotating boom head ensures a secure connection at any boom height.
Compared to the Swing rig, the Experience TR delivers greater stability and drive in stronger winds. While the deep profile still provides clear feedback between powering and depowering, the transition feels more progressive and controlled—helping beginners build confidence session after session.
