When it comes to standard extensions, at some point everyone has probably had a bad surprise. They rarely match the rope alignment on the sail, most of them require high upwind forces, and most of the time the mechanism for adjusting the height is extremely complicated. Before designing the UNI.XT we analysed all these problems in detail and found workable solutions. The robust and super sturdy UNI.XT extension may look at first glance like numerous other standard extensions, yet it is packed with innovations that make it a far superior product. The latest version features a completely new adjustment ring, offering a unique feature: based on the proven SDM adjustment ring, the RDM version now for the first time ensures that the aluminium tube no longer comes into contact with the mast, preventing any contact corrosion. No other RDM extension can offer this! In order to ensure the same durability despite the reduced diameter, a double-wall sandwich structure is used with a 7075 aluminium outer tube and an ovalized T8 inner tube (patent pending).
