The FormulaBlade returns in limited production for 2026, a proven design built with one purpose: maximum efficiency and speed on dedicated upwind and downwind Formula racing courses.
With a strong legacy shaped through years of refinement and elite-level competition, the Formulablade track record speaks for itself. This sail has powered riders like Dennis Littel to ten consecutive national titles, and Fernando Martinez to six Spanish championships.
For 2026, the Formulablade builds on that foundation with a series of meaningful updates that further enhance control, acceleration, and aerodynamic efficiency. A higher aspect ratio and refined shaping reduce drag, while a slightly lowered foot improves control and helps riders stay locked in across a wide range of angles.
Much like the Racingblade, the Formulablade shares the same performance-driven construction DNA. Carefully tuned battens with longer rod sections and rear-shifted tube segments create a shallow, efficient entry profile that promotes smooth rotation and clean airflow. Side-alternating X-Ply batten pockets help maintain a consistent sail shape and neutral rotation character even under heavy load.
The TekCam 3 system, now 35% lighter, improves cam rotation while supporting higher batten angles. This helps preserve the sail’s refined profile and responsive handling. The mast sleeve has a dual-layer stretch-resistant zone just behind the mast, made from 2-mil quad-axial X-Ply and IYU250 woven laminate, and runs from head to tack, keeping the mast sleeve structurally sound season after season. A 50 mm triple-stitched center sleeve seam adds further durability under repeated rigging and tension.
Additional features include dual Kevlar 5.0 mil tri-axial laminate clew radials for balanced load distribution and increased drive, plus 5.0 mil foot panels for added durability in high-wear zones. The upper body uses 4.0 mil bi-ply laminate for excellent UV resistance and long-term shape retention.
Finished in Loftsails’ clean and functional minimalism graphic, the FormulaBlade 2026 keeps overall weight low and shifts the center of gravity downward, boosting reactivity and confidence across every reach and gybe.
